COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Healthcare Aide program is a comprehensive training course designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to provide quality care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. The program covers topics such as patient care, communication, safety, and medical procedures, preparing students for a rewarding career as a healthcare aide.
INTENSIVE ONLINE LIVE CLASS (3 MONTHS)
Our Health Care Aide Certificate Program begins with an intensive 3-month online live class, where you’ll engage with our expert instructor and fellow students in real-time. This interactive and immersive experience will cover the fundamental principles and practices of healthcare aide. Through live lectures and discussions on zoom, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of healthcare concepts and develop essential skills for success in the field.
PRACTICUM (3 MONTHS)
Following the online live class, you’ll apply your knowledge and skills in a real-world setting through a 3-month practicum. You’ll be placed in either a registered hospital or care home, where you’ll work directly with healthcare professionals and patients to gain hands-on experience.
During your practicum, you’ll:
– Assist with patient care and daily living activities
– Develop your observation and reporting skills
– Practice medication administration and management
– Enhance your communication and teamwork skills
– Gain confidence and competence in a healthcare setting
Our practicum partners are reputable healthcare organizations that provide a supportive and supervised environment for you to learn and grow. You’ll be mentored by experienced healthcare professionals who will guide and evaluate your progress.
By combining our intensive online live class with a comprehensive practicum, you’ll be well-prepared to succeed as a healthcare aide and make a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients.
CERTIFICATION
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to receive a certification from Peaceland University to become a Certified Healthcare Aide (CHA).
